The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) lays down the basic tenets, that all human beings, regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, gender or status, are given basic rights and fundamental freedoms.
Globally promoting the rule of law.
We aim to raise awareness and gain public support from individuals and governments regarding the rule of law. We will also conduct research into the rule of law.
Globally promoting sound administration of human rights law.
We aim to promote and educate others about the understanding of the rule of law. There are a number of lacuna's within legal systems that allow authorities to abuse their domestic laws resulting in breaches of human rights - Attorneys Without Borders seeks to highlight such lacunas and fill the gaps within legislation to stop further abuses arising.
Providing technical advice to governments, NGOs and other relevant bodies regarding human rights and the rule of law.
Advice and information will be given concerning the creation, improvement and implementation of legal, regulatory and administrative systems organisations and government who need them.
Provide training on the adoption and implementation of human rights legislation.
We aim to teach judicial bodies and other relevant bodies how to successfully apply new human rights legislation.
